Email Settings

Click the Settings icon, then select Settings.

Select the Email.

 

The Email section has the following settings:

  1. SMTP Use WASP ConfigurationNote: This feature is not available on the On-Premise versions of AssetCloud.

Click on the checkbox to enable the SMTP Wasp Configuration.

 

  1. Register Users without SMTPNote: This feature is only available on the On-Premise versions of AssetCloud. The SMTP configuration is the first step that you should configure once you login to the AssetCloud On-Premise application.

Click on the Settings icon > Settings > Email > User Registration Without SMTP.

Click on the "Register users without SMTP" checkbox.

Click on the Save button.

To add users, click on the Manage > Users > New button. Enter the first name, last name, email address,and role. Click on the "Add & Invite" button.

  1. SMTP Server - Enter the name of an outgoing mail server that supports SMTP for delivering emails.

  1. SMTP Port - Enter the SMTP mail server listening port here. The default port is 25.

  1. SMTP SSL/TSL - Turn this option on for all SMTP servers that require SSL or TSL, including GMail SMTP servers.

Note on using GMail: To use a GMail SMTP server to send out mail from Asset Cloud:

Please be aware that you need to turn this option on for all SMTP servers that require SSL or TSL, not just for GMail SMTP servers.

  1. SMTP User - If your SMTP server requires authentication to send outgoing mail, enter the user name here.

  1. SMTP Password - If your SMTP server requires authentication to send outgoing mail, enter the password here. If your server does not require a password, leave this field blank.

  1. From Email - This is the email address from which emails are issued from Asset Cloud. You may want to set up a dedicated email account to use.

  1. SMTP Reply to Email Address - Enter the address to which users can reply to emails sent via Asset Cloud.

  1. Validate SMTP - After entering your SMTP settings, you can click the Validate SMTP button to have Asset Cloud Cloud attempt to use the settings.

If the test is completed successfully a message will appear at the top of the screen.

After you have entered the STMP settings, click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.
